At Narre Community Learning Centre (NCLC) we offer a range of qualifications and accredited courses as per our Scope of Registration with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority.

Further we offer a range of accredited short courses in Food safety, First Aid and RSA delivered by external registered training providers. **

These courses are run according to demand, simply give us a call to place your details on our waiting list for any of the courses listed below.  Further information can be obtained by accessing www.training.gov.au.

 SITHFAB002 Provide Responsible service of Alcohol

All people serving alcohol in Victoria need this certificate which is approved by the Director of Liquor Licensing Victoria. The RSA program covers a range of topics including: • Problems associated with excessive consumption alcohol and the law • the question of who is responsible for RSA • facts about alcohol • improving the atmosphere of your premises • handling difficult customers All new staff will have one month from the date they are involved in the supply of alcohol to attend a Victorian approved RSA course.

FOOD SAFETY

Food Safety training for all staff and food safety supervisors. Ideal for those seeking work or working in the hospitality industry, intending to start their own restaurant/take away business, working with children/ aged care workers, school canteens, people selling food at markets. All assessment completed in class on the day. Nationally recognized for the Hospitality/Retail, Community and Health Services and Food processing industries

Level 1, Level 2 (supervisors) & Level 1 & 2 (supervisors)  (NB: Level 1 is a pre-requisite for Level 2)
For your convenience we offer Level 1, Level 2 and a combined course with Level 1 and 2 to gain food Safety Supervisors training in one day.  Additional Fees apply for extra units.

PREMIUM BARISTA COURSE (pre-accredited)

THE MOBILE BARISTA BUS IS COMING TO NCLC

3 HOUR COURSE

$110.00 

Every month we are excited to offer our clients a Barista course that will make you a job ready barista.

The course is based upon the nationally accredited unit of competency SITHFAB005 Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee, students receive a certificate of participation upon completion of all competencies. Learn to make classic espresso styles, Make 25 – 30 coffees each. Milk texturing , troubleshooting, history, Grind adjustment & dosing, OHS, seasoning machines, coffee types & terminology & latte art for beginners!

This is a first aid level II course which will give you the skills to provide basic first aid and manage the casualty(s) and the incidents at work, home, sport or play

Has your certificate nearly run out? This one day workshop is for renewing your certificate. It enables you to refresh your knowledge and demonstrate you have the required competencies. Please produce your previous certificate at the commencement of this course.

CPR updates are recommended annually in some workplaces. All aspects of CPR will be covered and assessed.

(22300VIC) Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

This course is a must for parents, carers, school staff and individuals with a recognised life threatening allergic reaction to assist by giving adrenalin via a pre-loaded injection device. This includes the Epi and Ana Pen.

Basic First Aid for (Grand) Parents

Congratulations to you if you have just started a family or if you are new doting Grandparents with a new career in babysitting! All parents, grandparents or babysitters of new born babies and young toddlers should be equipped to deal with any medical emergency that may occur with your young child whilst waiting for medical help to arrive. Learn how to do CPR on Babies and Children. Practice with an AED for children or how to manage if a child is chocking. Our course will give you confidence to act promptly in the event of a situation occurring. Question time for childhood illness will be included.
