NCLC is registered with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) as a Senior Secondary education provider.  As a Senior Secondary education provider we support the principles and practice of Australian democracy and are committed to; elected Government, the rule of law, equal rights for all before the law, freedom of religion, freedom of speech and association and the values of openness and tolerance.  This is reflected both in the way we deliver our programs and in our centre documents including policy.  As our centre has a diverse range of students overall, we have departments for each cohort.  This ensures students receive the appropriate assistance, support and advice by suitably qualified and experienced staff while studying with us.  The Youth Department runs nationally accredited and recognised programs for students between the ages of 14 and 20 years, who are disengaged from education in a mainstream setting. Our youth programs range from year 9 through to year 12 equivalent including the Certificate I in General Education for Adults, the Certificate II in General Education for Adults, VCAL and VET in Schools (VETiS).  Our classes provide individual attention whilst using relevant adult learning principles with a youth-focus to keep the young people interested in achieving a range of measurable learning outcomes towards their future.  The listing of youth courses can be found below.  Click on the courses to see the course flyers.

Students are required to attend an interview at NCLC prior to being accepted into any youth programs.  During interview, students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or care giver.  To make a referral or enquiry about an interview appointment, please contact Sarah Lynch or Kelly De Cesare on (03) 9704 7388.
